LLC “WEST SOLAR”

The solar power plant was built with the aim of producing environmentally friendly electricity and subsequently making a profit from the sale at a feed-in tariff. The solar power plant was designed using string inverters and polycrystalline silicon modules. All inverters are combined into groups, which are connected to step-up complete transformer substations 0.4 / 35kV.

The ground-based solar power plant (photovoltaic station) "Balakhivka" was built in 2018 in Petrivskyi district of the Kirovohrad region. The power plant covers an area of 15 hectares, and the total capacity of installed solar panels (photovoltaic modules) is 9.3 MW.

  • Power - 9.3 MW
  • Solar Module Technology – Suntech
  • String inverters - Huawei
  • Annual yield  - 12M kWh.
  • Object location - Kirovohrad region

Geographical location of Ukraine is favorable for implementation of solar projects. The climate is characterized by large number of sunny days, thus, Ukraine has very good indicators of solar radiation (insolation) level. Ukraine also has a legislative base aimed at investment in solar generation, guaranteed by the state feed-in tariff, which is valid until 2030. The rate of feed-in-tariff in Ukraine is one of the highest in the world: 0.1277 Euro/kW. Payments on feed-in tariff depend on current Euro rate, determined by the NBU (National Bank of Ukraine).
